Petrol Prices Expected to Drop in Pakistan After Sharp Fall in Global Market. Pakistan is likely to see another reduction in petroleum prices as international oil rates continue to decline. According to reliable market sources, new fuel prices are expected to take effect from December 1, 2025, bringing relief to consumers across the country.

Petrol Prices Likely to Decrease

Based on the latest calculations submitted by oil companies, the expected price cuts are as follows:

  • Petrol: Expected decrease of Rs. 3.75 per litre
  • High-Speed Diesel (HSD): Likely reduction of Rs. 6.10 per litre
  • Kerosene Oil: Expected drop of Rs. 0.73 per litre
  • Light Diesel Oil (LDO): May become cheaper by Rs. 6.35 per litre

These reductions are linked to a significant fall in global oil prices over the last two weeks.

Oil Companies Submit Price Summary to OGRA

Oil companies have finalized their internal calculations and shared the proposed price adjustments with the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).
OGRA is currently preparing its official summary, which will be sent to the Ministry of Finance on November 29.

Final Decision on November 30

The Ministry of Finance will review OGRA’s recommendations and consult the Prime Minister before announcing the revised petroleum prices for the next 15 days.

The official announcement is scheduled for November 30, and the new prices will become effective from December 1, 2025.

Conclusion

With international market rates declining, Pakistan is expected to benefit from noticeable price cuts in petrol, diesel, kerosene, and light diesel oil. If approved, these reductions will provide much-needed financial relief to the public and businesses as the country moves into December.
