Pakistani Rupee Gains for 42nd Straight Day. The Pakistani Rupee (PKR) continues its positive momentum, marking an impressive 42-day winning streak against the US Dollar (USD). Monday’s closing once again showed the currency finishing in green, reflecting ongoing stability in the interbank market.

PKR Makes Another Small Gain Against the US Dollar

The rupee appreciated by a very small margin—just 0.005% day-on-day (DoD)—but it was enough to extend the streak.

PKR closed at Rs. 280.60 after gaining one paisa against the US dollar during today’s session.

On a fiscal year-to-date (FYTD) basis, the rupee has strengthened by 1.15% compared to the USD, showing slow but steady improvement.

How the Rupee Performed Against Other Major Currencies

Along with the US Dollar, the PKR also showed mixed movement against other global currencies in today’s interbank trading.

Stable Against Gulf Currencies

PKR remained stable against:

  • UAE Dirham (AED)
  • Saudi Riyal (SAR)

Gained Slightly Against the Canadian Dollar

It improved by two paisas against the Canadian Dollar (CAD).

Lost Ground Against Australian Dollar

The rupee weakened by 59 paisas against the Australian Dollar (AUD).
